galentine's cross body bag workshop
The Makers' House, Fareham 10am Sat 14 Feb 2026
workshop details
Spend the day with your best girlfriends - or show yourself some love - and make a stylish and super-useful cross body bag. Perfect for getting out and about this spring and summer! As bags are time-consuming to make, this is a long-form workshop, suitable for beginners and confident knotters alike. You’ll learn and become proficient in two of the foundation macramé knots: square and spiral. This workshop lasts 5 hours and takes place at the lovely Makers’ House in Fareham. Materials are all included, along with refreshments and a light snack to keep up your strength while you knot! We’ll begin seated but you can choose whether you wish to sit or stand for the rest of the workshop – or a mix of both. If you have any questions about accessibility please do get in touch. Places are limited to 8 on this workshop so that I can give everyone individual attention as needed and make sure you take home a piece of work that you’re proud of. The default colour will be a pale neutral but I will do my best to accommodate colour requests. When you book, please add a note as to your preferred colour group and I'll get back to you with the available options. How you finish it off is entirely down to your own personal preference: with fringing, added beads, or clean and simple lines. As well as making a lovely handbag you'll get to spend time in like-minded company, away from the stresses of everyday life in a welcoming and supportive environment, whether you're coming along solo or with friends.
